Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information KVRNL collects when you use kvrnl.io and our Apps, how we use it, and how long we keep it. We only collect what we need to run KVRNL, keep it secure, and make our Apps better.

1. What we collect

Account info: your email address and your password. Passwords are only stored in scrambled (hashed) form, so no one at KVRNL can see them.
License keys: the keys issued to your account, which products they're for, and the device ID each key is activated on.
App usage (analytics): when you use our Apps, they send us usage data such as which features you use, errors, the app version, and basic details about your PC (such as its Windows version, language and screen size). It never includes the contents of your files.
Security logs: the pages you open on kvrnl.io, with your IP address, approximate country and browser type; and the IP address and browser used each time you sign in.
Messages: anything you send us through the contact form, the help chat (including the name you give it) or a bug report, plus any details attached to a bug report.
Discord (optional): if you link your Discord account, your Discord user ID, so we can give you member roles.
Basic technical data: standard request logs kept by our hosting and security providers.

2. How we use it

To create and secure your account and verify your email.
To issue your license keys and deliver your downloads and updates.
To send essential emails (verification, password reset, your license keys, account notices).
To see how our Apps are used, so we can fix bugs and make them better.
To keep KVRNL safe: spotting abuse, enforcing suspensions and bans, and stopping banned users from coming back with new accounts.
To answer your support requests.

3. Service providers

We use a small number of trusted service providers for hosting, data storage, security and email delivery. They handle data only on our behalf, to run KVRNL.

4. Cookies & local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and store a random visitor ID that links the pages you open to our security logs. We don't use advertising cookies. Some product pages show posts from our Facebook page; when those load, Facebook may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. Our sign-up, sign-in, password-reset and contact forms include a quick security check that keeps bots out; it looks at technical details of your browser for that purpose only.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with our service providers as needed to run KVRNL, with Discord if you choose to link your account, or where the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

App usage data, security logs and sign-in history are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted automatically. A suspension or ban stays on record for as long as it's in effect. Your account info and license keys are kept until you delete your account.

7. Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your account data, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile, your license keys and the security logs linked to your account. Some Apps also let you switch off usage reporting in their settings.

8. Children

KVRNL is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
