Overview
Clip Lab turns hours-long recordings into shareable clips fast. Open an OBS capture (or any MP4, MKV, MOV and more), scrub to the moment, mark a Start and End, name it, and add it to the queue — then batch-export the whole list at once. Even a six-hour file opens instantly because Clip Lab reads it in place.
Leave it on instant, lossless cuts, or flip on frame-perfect mode for exact edges — it re-encodes on your GPU (NVIDIA NVENC) and falls back to your CPU automatically. Everything runs locally, and you can even run several copies at once, one per video. Free to use; claim your license key and download it straight from this page.
- Instant, lossless cuts — or frame-perfect re-encodes
- GPU (NVENC) export with automatic CPU fallback
- Queue up many clips and batch-export in one go
- Bundled ffmpeg — huge files open instantly, nothing to install
Open a recording
Click Choose Video and pick your recording — an OBS capture, a screen recording, anything (MP4, MKV, MOV and more). Even a multi-hour file opens instantly, because Clip Lab reads it in place instead of loading the whole thing into memory.
Mark a clip
Play or scrub to the moment you want, then hit Use current time for the Start and again for the End (tap ← / → to jump 15 seconds at a time). Give the clip a name if you like, then Add clip to list. Queue up as many clips as you want from the same recording.
Export your clips
Leave Frame-perfect off for instant, lossless cuts, or turn it on for exact start/end edges — it re-encodes, using your GPU (NVIDIA NVENC) when available and falling back to your CPU automatically. Pick where to save, then Export all clips. You can even run several copies of Clip Lab at once, one per video, without conflicts.
Install & activate
Download Clip Lab above (or from your account), run the installer, and launch it. On first run, paste your license key from your account to activate — it binds to this computer. The full account, key, and install walkthrough is in the getting-started guide.
